TEAM: DREISS PATENTANWÄLTE

All of our patent attorneys hold university degrees in natural sciences (electrical or mechanical engineering, physics, information technology, chemistry, or the like), have completed studies specialized in intellectual property law and have completed training at both the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court (both in Munich). Based on this dual qualification they are capable of understanding complex technical inventions, describing them in patent applications and carrying out the often-complicated procedures before the responsible authorities until a patent has successfully been granted. The same applies to utility models, trademarks and designs.

The patent attorneys at Dreiss Partners Patent Attorneys normally don’t only work as German patent attorneys, but are also licensed representatives fully able to act before the European Patent Office/Munich (European Patent Attorneys), and are authorized to represent clients before the Harmonization Office in the Internal Market of the EU (OHIM) in Alicante, Spain (European Community Trademark and Design Attorneys).

The patent attorneys are members of the Chamber of German Patent Attorneys and those who are authorized to practice before the European Patent Office are members of the European Patent Institute (epi). The Patent Attorney Code, the Professional Code for Patent Attorneys, the FICPI Professional Code and the Code of Professional Conduct of the epi are the foundation upon which we practice our profession.
